The Musée du Sabot displays wooden shoes from around the world, machines used to make wooden shoes and the world’s largest wooden shoe. The Grotte de la Garenne includes a Calvary, was inaugurated on 26 July 1936 and houses a replica of the Grotto of Lourdes.

Activities

The Tour de la butte de La Perrière is a 6.3 km moderately difficult walking route starting at the Place du Champ de Foire in Étang-sur-Arroux. It passes the remains of the Château de La Perrière and a replica of the Grotto of Lourdes.

For children and adults, the Étang-sur-Arroux swimming pool offers various areas for water games and swimming. There are several routes for cycling: the easy Circuit VTT-FFC Étang-sur-Arroux is 11.3 km long, runs along the Arroux and starts in Étang-sur-Arroux. The Circuit Cyclo Étang-sur-Arroux is a difficult 31.5 km cycling route that also runs along the Arroux and begins in Étang-sur-Arroux. The GTMC Étang–Luzy–Étang mountain bike route starts in Étang-sur-Arroux, leads to Luzy and includes a bus ride for the return journey.
