Bosjean has a very gently hilly landscape and a bocage landscape: arable fields and meadows are surrounded by hedgerows. The Boissine belongs to the Brenne sub-catchment and crosses Bosjean at the municipality’s lowest elevations. The municipality includes 650 hectares of woodland, including 225 hectares of municipal forest.

Culture and History
The Église Saint-Andoche de Bosjean is first mentioned in the tithe register of Besançon from 1275. Its construction date is uncertain and probably falls in the early 13th century. The bell tower was demolished in 1868 and rebuilt on the eastern façade in 1869.
The Église Saint-Andoche contains furnishings listed in the register of Historic Monuments; visits are possible by arrangement with the mairie. In Saint-Jean, still-visible ditches surround the preserved motte of a feudal castle destroyed in 1475.
Forest and Paths
A hiking route runs between the Bosjean forest and the Bois de Bousseau. When leaving the forest, the hiking route offers a view of the Étang Longuet.
Local Traditions
Bosjean has a conservation garden dedicated to preserving old and local fruit varieties. In 2023, an apple festival with an exhibition of old fruits and apple presses was held at the Place de la Mairie. An apple festival with apple presses is also documented there for 2025.
