Nature
In Arbourse, the Butte aux orchidées is located on the Faye spur in the municipality of Arbourse. It is a restored natural meadow where wild orchids grow, including Ophrys species. Two orientation boards stand at the summit, offering panoramic views of the surrounding villages.

Cycling
The “Saint-Jacques à vélo via Vézelay V56” cycle route passes through Arbourse. The “Fûts et vignoble” cycle tour also runs through Chasnay, Murlin, La Celle-sur-Nièvre, Dompierre-sur-Nièvre and Arbourse; it is 19.7 kilometres long.
Another cycle tour is “Orchidées et clochers”. It passes through Arbourse, Dompierre-sur-Nièvre, Saint-Bonnot, Arzembouy and Champlemy and is 33.5 kilometres long.
Culture
The Via de Vézelay, also known as the Via Lemovicensis, crosses the countryside around Arbourse towards Chasnay. The GR 654 on the Via de Vézelay is marked in red and white by the French hiking federation. The “chemin des pèlerins” laid out along the Via de Vézelay is marked in yellow and blue and identified by a yellow scallop shell on a blue background. The pilgrims’ hostel in Arbourse has a kitchen, a shower and toilets.
History
The Lavoir d’Arbourse, also known as the Lavoir de la fontaine Saint-Jean, dates from the mid-19th century. It has a rectangular basin with borders made of cut limestone, as well as a pitched roof with small flat tiles made of fired clay.
