Lac de Pannecière stretches across the four municipalities on its shores: Chaumard, Montigny-en-Morvan, Ouroux-en-Morvan and Corancy. Culture

The Church of Saint Euphrone was built on the site of a 12th-century church. Its choir dates from the last quarter of the 15th century, the rear left chapel and the bell tower from the first quarter of the 16th century, and the front portal from the last quarter of the 16th century. The church also contains a gravestone from 1605 that is classified as a historic monument.

The Chapelle de Faubouloin, also known as the Chapelle du Frêne or Chapelle Notre Dame de Grâce, has been classified as a historic monument since 1943. It contains two statues from the 15th and 17th centuries. Mass is still celebrated in Faubouloin on 15 August.

Routes and Visiting

The Chapelle de Faubouloin can be visited with a key available from the town hall. Parking is available for cars, and access is via a municipal road. Less than 500 metres away, there is a hiking trail of the GR de pays or PR type.

History

Timber rafting was an important economic activity in the Morvan along the nearby Yonne. The last timber rafting took place in 1923.
