Wine and terroir

The Saint-Aubin-Village appellation includes 30 Premiers Crus. At Le Caveau de Saint-Aubin, visitors can learn about the village’s wine soils and terroirs. Culture and history

At the Saint-Aubin parish church, the eastern building complex was probably constructed at the end of the 10th century; the bell tower and spire date from the 12th century.

The fortified manor house in Gamay displays the characteristics of a Burgundian fortified noble residence. The keep and possibly the residential wing were built in the 13th century. The residential wing appears to have been remodelled in the 15th century when a lower wing was added. At the end of the 19th century, the fortified manor house in Gamay was restored by the de Chauvigny de Blot family.

In Saint-Aubin, visitors can discover cabottes as part of Burgundy’s wine-growing heritage.

Landscape and trails

The combes of Saint-Aubin offer expansive panoramas. Saint-Aubin provides walking and cycling trails through vineyards, forests and rocky landscapes.

The “Collines de Maison Forte” circular route passes vineyards of the Saint-Aubin Premier Cru appellation.
