Culture

The Château de Montigny-sur-Aube was built by Jean d'Amoncourt between 1537 and 1552. Its history reaches back to a fortified castle dating from the 12th century. The grounds, park and chapel were classified as historic monuments in 1961. The chapel's plans are attributed to Jean Bullant; the audio-guided tour of the Château de Montigny-sur-Aube includes the 16th-century Renaissance chapel.

The Espace Harry Truman at the Château de Montigny-sur-Aube was inaugurated on 11 October 2018. It includes a memorial stele made of stone from Semond, commemorating Harry Truman's stay at the Château de Montigny-sur-Aube in 1918.

The Eglise de l'Assomption in Montigny-sur-Aube was built by Jean d'Amoncourt in 1547 on the site of the former château chapel. The church contains the tomb of its founder and the tomb of his son René d'Amoncourt. The washhouse of Montigny-sur-Aube on Rue Grande dates from the 19th century.
