The Saint-Germain Chapel dates from the 15th and 16th centuries and is dedicated to Saint Germanus of Auxerre. The chapel, ossuary and calvary were classified as historic monuments by decree on 24 October 1914. However, the chapel is only open during events.

The Saint-Honoré Chapel was built in the 13th century and largely rebuilt in 1668; its ruins are freely accessible all year round. The remarkable gateway of the Château du Hilguy is also part of the area’s historic heritage and has been partially listed as a historic monument since 2 December 1926.

The parish church of Saint-Pierre dates from 1878, while its bell tower was not built until 1897. The church contains statues of Saint Corentin and Saint Herbot.

Nature and Activities

A family-friendly 5.6 km circular route leads through forests and sunken lanes. At the Bois des Dames leisure area, the site features a 25-metre-long zip line and a BMX track. Children can slide, climb and cross bridges there, while fun information panels teach them how to treat the environment with respect.

Food and Drink

At the Ferme de Pendréo, visitors can taste traditionally made ice cream. The sorbets and ice creams are made on site without artificial flavourings; fruit ice creams, cakes and ice-cream cakes are also available.

During guided tours of L'Arpente’s herb and medicinal plant garden, around fifty wild and cultivated plants are presented. They are used to make, among other things, herbal teas, oils, care balms and gourmet food products.

The Saint-Germain bread oven was renovated in 2012. Every year, it is fired up again for the country-style meal held as part of the Heritage Festival on the first Saturday in August, when bread, pâtés and rice pudding are baked.

The shop at the GAEC de Pendréo farm can be visited freely. Visitors can also explore the mini-farm with goats, geese, chickens and ducks.
