Culture and history

The Manoir de la Grand'Isle in Saint-Bihy is listed as a historic monument; the listing was made by decree dated 15 March 1967.

The Église Saint-Eusèbe was built of granite in the 18th century. Its bell tower dates from 1777, while the façade bears a coat of arms of the Choiseul-Praslin family.

A medieval testimony is the Croix de Saint-Bihy, a monolithic granite cross of the Merovingian type. The Manoir du Bas Cléden was built in 1548 by the Le Moënne family. A loophole in the shape of a truncated cone is still preserved there; above the door there is also an inscription bearing the year of construction.

The local sacred art collection includes the Statue de Saint-Eusèbe, a polychrome wooden sculpture from the 17th century. The annual Pardon procession leads from the church to the Fontaine Saint-Bieuzy in August. The fountain dates from the 17th century; it depicts Saint-Bieuzy as a priest holding a missal in one hand, with a dog lying at his feet.

Nature

Saint-Bihy is part of the ZNIEFF area Cime de Kerchouan - Bois de Guercy. West of Les Roselaies, the wet to peaty heaths are regarded as a priority conservation objective.

Experiences

The Saint-Bihy en fête association organises the Trail des Duos. The Circuit VTT n°40 crosses the Gouët towards Saint-Bihy.

The ruins of the Abbaye Notre-Dame de Coëtmaloën are located in the vicinity of Saint-Bihy. The historical site Hôtel de Rohan and the ruins of the Abbaye Notre-Dame de Bon-Repos are located in the wider regional area. The closed Artothèque de Saint-Brieuc museum is also located in this wider regional area.
