Les Pradeaux: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In the centre of Les Pradeaux, the GR300 follows Rue du Pont, Rue de la Mairie and Chemin du Port. After passing through Les Pradeaux, the long-distance hiking trail heads towards the Allier and then follows the river to Nonette.
The hike La vallée de Parcelles begins in Saint-Martin-des-Plains, is 11 km long, has a moderate difficulty level and takes 3 hours and 15 minutes. After the Grange-Fort estate, it passes near the village of Les Pradeaux, leads past an old brickworks and then climbs to a 360-degree panoramic viewpoint.
Cycling
Stage 10 of the Via Allier cycling route between Issoire and Brassac-les-Mines passes through Les Pradeaux. It is 27.1 km long, takes 1 hour and 50 minutes, and is classified as blue or moderate.
Culture and History
The possibly fortified barns of Château de La Grange Fort originally housed the tithes of the castellany of Nonette. Around the 15th century, the land became a fief, initially held by the lords of La Grange d’Ambillon and subsequently by Pons de la Grange. Around 1850, the Vicomte de Matharel commissioned the architect Honoré-Auguste Vianne to carry out a comprehensive restoration of Château de La Grange Fort in an expressive Neo-Gothic style.
Château de La Grange Fort has five spacious rooms; breakfast is served in the tea room. The château offers an indoor pool and an outdoor pool, as well as a spa, sauna and massages.
Events
The trial classes by A Lo Cubanissimo announced for September 2026 will take place at the Salle polyvalente in Parc Laurent in Les Pradeaux. Every Thursday in September 2026, A Lo Cubanissimo invites everyone to discover Dominican bachata and Cuban salsa free of charge.
