The Musée de la Batellerie Pierre-Mondanel tells the river history of Pont-du-Château. The Château (town hall) was built in the 17th century by Guillaume de Montboissier-Beaufort-Canillac, the Marquis of Pont-du-Château, and remodelled in the 18th century.
The Château de Pont-du-Château is located in the immediate vicinity of Pont-du-Château. The Artothèque de Clermont-Ferrand (closed), a closed museum, is also located in the surrounding area. The Château de Sarlièves and the Musée Bargoin are likewise located in the vicinity of Pont-du-Château.

Water and Paths

The Chemin des Bateliers is an easy walking path along the banks of the Allier. It offers views of Pont-du-Château, the Château and the Sainte-Martine church.
