Culture and History
Maison Domat is a bourgeois house that apparently dates back to the 15th century. Since 7 November 2000, Maison Domat has been listed as a historic monument; the listing was made by decree on that date.
The round room on the top floor of the staircase tower at Maison Domat contains 225 graffiti, including drawings of heads.
Trails and Landscapes
The Busséol circular trail is 10.5 kilometres long, easy, laid out as a loop, and takes approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes. From Clermont-Ferrand, take the A75, exit 5 at Orcet, then continue towards Les Martres-de-Veyre and on to Mirefleurs. Parking is available on Rue du Guichet by the cemetery.
The Busséol circular trail offers panoramic views of Busséol Castle, Lignat, Billom, Cournon, the castles of Mauzun and Montmorin, the Chaîne des Puys and the Allier River.
The Busséol circular trail leads to Mirefleurs and then returns to the car park via the town hall, Place Jean-Domat, Rue de la Grande-Charreyre, the church, the steps and Rue du Guichet. As smaller examples of local heritage, the trail includes a washhouse, a fountain and a Volvic stone cross.
Nature
Puy Saint-Romain can be reached on foot from Mirefleurs and is used by paragliders.
