In Aigueperse, the Grande-rue is lined with historic monuments. Along the Grande Rue, the façades of the town palaces from the 15th, 16th and 18th centuries form an architectural gallery. The Sainte-Chapelle is the only surviving evidence of the former palace of the Bourbon-Montpensier family. It was built in the 15th century on the initiative of Louis de Bourbon and is classified as a historic monument. The interior of the Sainte-Chapelle is currently not accessible.
The Hôtel de ville et beffroi, built as a convent for the Ursulines, is also part of the historic townscape. The square tower above the entrance portico was built between 1794 and 1798 and bears a sundial. The entrance tower houses a clock and three automata that strike bells.
