The Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens Church in Joze has been in use since the 17th century, replacing the dilapidated parish church of Uriat. A reconstruction and extension project for the church was drawn up in 1846 by the architect Imbert, who came from Clermont. Work on Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens was completed in 1851, as indicated by the date on the west façade.
