Saint-Julien-Des-Chazes: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The Chapelle Sainte-Marie-des-Chazes is sheltered by basalt cliffs and is considered an outstanding example of Auvergnat Romanesque art. As a medieval priory, the chapel was dependent on the Benedictine Abbey of Saint-Pierre-des-Chazes, which was founded around 910. In 1862, the Chapelle Sainte-Marie-des-Chazes was protected as a historic monument through its inclusion on a list.

Culture
The statue of Notre-Dame des Chazes is no longer located in the chapel today, but in the parish church. It dates from the 11th or 12th century and is considered a masterpiece of Auvergnat Romanesque art. Today, a mass for the Feast of the Assumption is celebrated every year on 15 August at the Notre-Dame des Chazes sanctuary.
