Queyrières lies at the western foot of the Meygal Massif. The northwestern flank of the Testavoyre belongs to Queyrières; at 1,436 m, the Testavoyre is the highest point in the Meygal.

Geographical location
The Col de Raffy in Queyrières offers panoramic views of the Sucs landscape. The Sucs around the Col de Raffy are considered volcanic cones without craters, formed during the region’s volcanic past.
The Meygal Nordic area is located 2 km east of Queyrières at an altitude of between 1,200 and 1,450 m. It offers 44 km of groomed trails for classic cross-country skiing and skating.
The Rocher de Queyrières is the remnant of a former volcanic vent, exposed by the erosion of the surrounding deep rock. It can be reached via the access road to the village.
Nature and trails
The botanical nature trail begins in Fournial and comprises two paths that run around Mézères over a distance of 4 km. Information panels along the trail introduce visitors to the local fauna and flora.
From Queyrières, the GR®65 leads towards the hamlet of Raffy. Suchaillou is located on the Way of St. James and is intended as a place for hikers and pilgrims to stop or spend the night.
A hike of around 30 minutes leads around the village and the Rocher de Queyrières. Information panels explain the geological formation of the rock and the various uses of the stone.
Culture
Suchaillou is an art retreat in Queyrières. The site consists of dry-stone masonry and a cantilevered structure made of phonolite, and was built with the involvement and expertise of local craftspeople. Suchaillou also includes an outdoor water point, an orientation board and dry toilets.
