The Saint-Roch Chapel is first mentioned in a document from the Hôtel-Dieu dating from 1213 and in a Templar archive from 1217. It was remodelled several times in the 15th, 16th and 20th centuries and features woodwork from 1935 surrounding the choir. The chapel is located on the Way of St. James at an altitude of around 1,077 metres and can be visited freely at any time, individually or in groups. For the feast of Saint Roch, Mass is held there at 10:30 a.m. on the Sunday after 15 August.
The Sainte-Foy Church in Bains was built in the 11th century from dressed volcanic stones and extensively remodelled in the 14th and 19th centuries. Bains has at least 46 historic crosses; around 20 of them stand along paths, at crossroads, on roads and in squares.

Lac de l’Oeuf lies a few kilometres from Montbonnet; the 2-hectare site at an altitude of 1,200 metres features a developing peat bog and is of high ecological value. Its wetlands provide refuge for numerous resident bird species, including mallard, common snipe, tree pipit and red crossbill.
