Nature and Trails
The Circuit Chezelles circular trail is a 6.2 km loop starting in Désertines. It runs along the Cher and provides an opportunity to discover Désertines’ viticultural past. At Petite Suisse, sheep and goats were kept in a temporary enclosure for grazing.

Désertines has a City Park for children and adults. The Médiathèque Léo Ferré is located in the Espace François Mitterrand, 11 rue Joliot Curie, 03630 Désertines; use of the facilities on site is free of charge.
Chez Cécile is a bistro and restaurant that offers lunchtime set menus for working people on weekdays.
Culture and History
The Lavoir de Désertines was built in 1897. Its restoration included the installation of a fresco commemorating its history.
The 37th Salon Artistique took place from February 21 to March 1, 2026, at the Maison de la Culture in Désertines.
Events and Experiences
The Association Bourbonnaise de Valorisation de l’Âne organizes donkey discovery walks together with tourist attractions or local producers. At events and festivals, the Association Bourbonnaise de Valorisation de l’Âne offers children donkey rides or fun courses with a little “donkey driving licence.”
