Culture and History
The Church of Saint-Magne contains a cycle painted by René-Marie Castaing between 1932 and 1934; it also contains a Stations of the Cross painted by his brother Joseph Castaing in 1946.
The parish church of Saint-Magne in Bizanos was built in 1874 according to plans by the architect Gabriel Serres, who was from Pau.
The Château de Franqueville is the third castle to have been built in Bizanos. The two previous structures were fortified castles on the same site.
The grounds of the Château de Franqueville cover 3.3 hectares and contain exotic plants that presumably date from the late 19th century.
Count Albert de Franqueville settled at the Château de Bizanos on 6 February 1854 and took part in the first ascent of Néthou, known by its Spanish name, Pic d’Aneto.

The Bizanos Randonnée Patrimoine (B.R.P.) is a 9.7 km circular trail with 20 permanently marked stations. It offers panoramic views and tranquillity in a centuries-old forest.
The Espace Sports d'Orientation du Domaine de Franqueville has a permanent network of control points installed at distinctive terrain features.
A 600 m-long voie verte connects the Passerelle de Franqueville with Rue des Pyrénées and lies within the municipalities of Bizanos and Aressy.
The “D'une rive à l'autre” walking route runs for more than 4 km between the two banks of the Gave and begins at Parking Pasteur in Bizanos.
