The circular route “Dondas, balade dans les coteaux du Pays de Serres” is 14.3 km long. It can be completed on foot in 3 hours 45 minutes, on horseback in 2 hours 20 minutes, or by mountain bike in 1 hour 45 minutes. The circular route starts at the car park opposite the village hall.
The educational and fun trail “Boucle de St Julien / Engayrac” consists of six loops, each equipped with elements for exploring the heritage and landscape. This trail includes a “le jeu du canard” game board and a Randoland treasure hunt.
Culture
The Église Saint-Julien de la Serre in Dondas preserves architectural elements from the 11th century in the chancel and in part of the northern nave wall. Four free-standing columns with capitals are still visible in the church.
The Église Saint-Louis de Gandaille in Dondas is a Romanesque church with an original nave. In 1243, the abbot of Saint-Maurin, Guillaume de Belpech, purchased the tithe rights to the Église Saint-Louis de Gandaille. A virtual 3D tour is also available for the Église Saint-Louis de Gandaille.
At the Chapelle Saint Julien de la Serre in Dondas, a Randoland activity is designed as a puzzle game. It is intended to explore the historical, natural and architectural heritage.
