History

The present-day Saint-Brice Church originally dates back to the Middle Ages. Its current building was rebuilt in 1859 after the previous one had been repeatedly flooded. Bourran was created by the amalgamation of several villages, and its historical heritage is closely connected with tobacco cultivation.

Religious Buildings

The Temple de la Tourasse is a 19th-century Protestant temple in Bourran. After it was abandoned and fell into disrepair in the 1880s, it was moved to its present location and rebuilt; it is still used today, although only rarely. The Church of Saint-Pierre de Colleignes dates from the late Gothic period. The Church of Saint-Vincent contains a Pietà recently donated to the chapel.

The dovecote of the Tour de Rance was built in the 17th century and is listed as a historic monument.
