Boé: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture

The Maison de Garonne is an interpretation centre in a former fortified house and watchtower dating from the 14th century. It explains the relationship between the Garonne and its people, the history of Boé and the Garonne in the Agen area, as well as the river’s biodiversity.

From February to December, the Maison de Garonne offers temporary exhibitions, educational workshops, nature excursions, conferences and other events. The educational Sentier pédagogique de la Maison de Garonne is around 2 kilometres long and runs around the site and through Boé village. It partly follows the Garonne; the Maison de Garonne site and the educational trail are accessible to people with reduced mobility.

La Maison de l’Art by Willy Labruyère presents a blacksmith’s workshop and works of art in the former fortified farm complex of Château Lamothe-Bézat. The La Maison de l’Art workshop accepts enquiries for individually made practical or decorative objects. Boé Saint-Sulpice, today’s Boé village, is considered a boatmen’s port in connection with river shipping.

Renting a holiday apartment in Boé can be planned as a separate part of the trip.

Nature

The Parc Naturel de Passeligne in Boé covers 60 hectares: 30 hectares consist of land and 30 hectares of water, including the lakes of Passeligne and Pélissier. The park has 14 kilometres of cycling and walking paths. Fishing is permitted at both lakes with the usual fishing licence.

The Halte Nautique de Boé is located on the Canal latéral à la Garonne, is 5 kilometres from Agen via the voie verte, and is open to river tourism during the summer season.

Leisure

The Golf du Château d’Allot offers an 18-hole course and practice areas. The golf course is located on the grounds of Château d’Allot, among centuries-old cedars. The grounds feature gentle rises and run alongside lakes or the Garonne.

Privacy Escape offers three scenarios for adults and three scenarios for children; 60 minutes are allocated for each game to escape from the room. Bowling Agen-Boé has 18 bowling lanes, English pool tables, video games and a play area for children aged 2 to 12.
