Vieux-Boucau-les-Bains is part of the Site Inscrit des Etangs Landais Sud, a nationally recognised designation reflecting the area’s diverse heritage qualities. The lac marin de Port d’Albret stretches across Vieux-Boucau-les-Bains and Soustons; its seasonally supervised beach provides access to the Atlantic in an area protected from the waves.
