The Église Saint-Avit is a church with a flat-ended chancel dating from the late 11th century. It originally consisted of a single nave and a rectangular apse. By decree of 23 December 1996, it was placed under protection as a historic monument.

The Golf de Mont de Marsan golf course in Saint-Avit is located in a place historically associated with soldiers called “Pessourdat”. The Gascon expression means “soldiers’ feet”; soldiers manoeuvred there from the 19th century onwards.
