Peyre: Holiday Apartments and Houses
Culture
The main structure of the Church of Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption dates from the second half of the 15th century or the beginning of the 16th century. The southern chapel preserves its original ribbed vault and flamboyant keystone. The complex consists of a two-bay nave, two chapels, and a five-sided chancel.
In the nave, in front of the entrance to the chancel, is the tombstone of the de Méritens de Lagor family. It may date from the 17th century. The coat of arms on the tombstone is attributed to this family, which held the seigneurial lordship of Peyre until the Revolution.
