Routes and Activities

The “Les Graves” route passes through Canéjan, Gradignan, Léognan, Cestas and Pessac. In Canéjan, its starting point is at the Pont de la Palanque; an information totem in the car park provides details about the distances and duration of the various routes. Three marked routes of 5 km, 20 km and 30 km are available.

Lac Vert is an artificial lake created from a former quarry. It is one of Canéjan’s landscaped parks and natural areas that are open to the public. Swimming in Lac Vert is prohibited.

The “Les Pêcheurs de l'Eau Bourde” association operates at Lac Vert, on the Eau Bourde and at Étang d'Ornon. It offers recreational fishing as well as workshops on fishing, nature and the protection of aquatic habitats.

The medieval priory of Camparian was initially the seat of a royal provostry and later of a hospital.

The Centre Simone Signoret offers a monthly cinema programme and presents a varied programme of performances. The programme includes the Meli-Melo festival for puppet theatre and animated forms.
