The Église Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption in Saint-Geniès has a Romanesque apse dating from the 12th century. Its nave dates from the 15th century and was restored in the 19th century. By decree of 24 August 1943, the church was classified as a historic monument.

The Château de Saint-Geniès was built in the 16th century after the destruction of a predecessor building from the 13th century. It has a square tower with a spiral staircase; its façades and roofs were classified as historic monuments in 1976.
The Chapelle du Cheylard is a Gothic chapel built in 1327. It overlooks the small Chironde valley and contains classified frescoes.

The Promenade du bourg de Saint-Geniès offers interesting views of the village and invites visitors to see the church and, with a little luck, the Chapelle du Cheylard.
The Saint-Geniès–Jayac section of the GRP Pays de Fénelon leads to the Chemin des Meuniers in Saint-Geniès; there, information boards explain the remains of watermills.
Geographical setting
The Grotte de Lascaux, a cave, is located near Saint-Geniès. Cabanes Du Breuil, a historic site, is also located in the area.
In the wider regional surroundings of Saint-Geniès are the Château de Bourzolles and the Château de Castelnaud-la-Chapelle, both castles. Also located there are Abris de Laugerie-Basse, an ancient site, Village troglodytique de La Madeleine, a cave, as well as the Grotte des Combarelles and the Grotte de Font-de-Gaume, both caves.
