History
Fleurac is first mentioned in written records in the 13th century. The Château de Fleurac remained in the possession of the de-Beauroyre family until 1884 and has been connected with the de Saint-Exupéry family since the 17th century.
The family associated with the Château de Malbec is first mentioned in the departmental archives in 1509. The Château de Malbec was inhabited by a family that bore the names Seigneur-de-Malbec, de Pech-Alvet, de Fleurac, de la Grange and Lapeyrière.
