Lamothe-Montravel: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture

The former Château des Archevêques de Bordeaux has been listed as a historic monument since September 27, 1948. Its principal construction phases date from the 15th and 16th centuries.

The Saint-Paixent priory was founded between 1060 and 1186 by Benedictine monks from Saint Florent de Saumur Abbey. The Marie-Françoise bell of Saint-Paixent Church was donated and consecrated by the Countess of Civrac on October 3, 1735.

A memorial column marks the site of the main events of the Battle of Castillon; it is called the Talbot Monument.

The Boucle de Lamothe Montravel starts in Lamothe-Montravel and is located near a TER railway station.
