Coutures: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Culture and History
Coutures is home to the Église Saint-Saturnin, a building dating from the 12th century. Its outer apse is decorated with nine round arches. The church was probably fortified during the Hundred Years' War.
The Château fort de Coutures was a fief of the Bourdeille, Sainte-Aulaire, Montardy and Gravain de Roquepiquet families. It bordered the church and was connected to it by a gallery. As a result of the destruction during the French Revolution, the Château fort de Coutures disappeared.
The Lageard residence in Coutures is considered an exemplary 19th-century manor house.
When planning a trip to Coutures, you may wish to rent a holiday apartment.
