Culture and history
The Église Saint-Étienne incorporates structural elements dating from the 12th and 15th centuries. After its construction in the 12th century, it was extended and fortified; following damage during the Hundred Years’ War, it was partially rebuilt in the 15th century. By an order dated 27 December 1973, the Église Saint-Étienne was listed as a historic monument.
The Chapelle Saint-Rémy d'Auriac was also listed as a historic monument by an order dated 13 January 1948. It is an old pilgrimage site commemorating Saint Bartholomew, who is regarded as a healing saint.
The lordship of Auriac was established in 1487. From the 15th to the 18th century, the Château de la Faye was the residence of the lords of Auriac. It was built from an old watchtower that formed part of the warning and defence system organised by Alphonse de Poitiers in the 13th century.

Auriac-du-Périgord lies in the Laurence valley. The valley has an average gradient of 1%, which once powered numerous mills. Another attraction in Auriac-du-Périgord is the dry-stone hut La Nicote.
Events and guided tours
The Foyer Rural organises a walking excursion once a month on Sundays. The summer market in Auriac-du-Périgord takes place on Thursday evenings in July and August. The summer market includes a country-style dinner and a barbecue featuring market produce.
