Culture and History

The Train Thur Doller Alsace preserves historic railway equipment and operates with a steam locomotive or railcar on the Cernay St André–Sentheim route. Another historic site is the Stations of the Cross in Sentheim: it comprises fourteen stations made of Saales sandstone, which were erected in the Grumby Valley in 1947 and blessed on 14 September 1947. The Stations of the Cross lead uphill from Pont des Vignes through the Grumby Valley to the Vierge du Rollenberg.

There are several castles and castle ruins in the area around Sentheim. Château de Rougemont is a ruin in the vicinity of Sentheim, as are Château d'Engelbourg and Château du Herrenfluh. Château du Friedberg is a castle in the vicinity of Sentheim.

Nature

The Wolfloch Cave is the only natural cave in Haut-Rhin open to the public. A visit to the Wolfloch Cave follows a short, mostly shaded path. Along the way, visitors learn about its limestone, its formation and uses, as well as the fossils it contains.
