Pfastatt is home to the Church of Saint-Maurice, built in 1864 in the Neo-Romanesque style. It replaced a dilapidated chapel built in 1505 by Hans de Hauss and was designed by the Mulhouse architect Jean-Baptiste Schacre.
Anyone choosing Pfastatt as a place to stay will want to rent a holiday apartment there.
Culture and History
Pfastatt’s first industrial use took place in the 18th century with a brickworks founded by the Burtz family. Its immediate proximity to the Doller led to the establishment of a textile-printing factory founded by J. B. Kastner. A century later, a bleaching and dyeing works operated by Haeffely, Lalance and Schaeffer followed.
Throughout the year, discovery tours are organised in Pfastatt by the Commission Patrimoine et Cadre de vie together with the Société d’Histoire. La Bobine works in Pfastatt on a year-round cultural programme.
