Le ParK des Gravières combines a public park, created from a former sports wasteland, with a family-friendly, sociable, playful and ecological meeting place. The site includes a play structure with several slides, sports fields and a bowl facility for skateboarding and inline skating.

Le ParK des Gravières also has an educational cycling course. Throughout the year, the “En attendant Momix” programme in Kingersheim offers performances, workshops, afternoon snacks and public rehearsals for young audiences and families.

Nature and trails

The Poumon Vert comprises three walking trails designed as an extension of Le ParK des Gravières. The trails are suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs and can be explored on foot or by bicycle.

The Dollerbaechlein was originally an artificial canal and a branch of the Doller. It runs for 12 km before flowing into the Ill near Ensisheim and is a popular place for walks.

Culture and history

The Espace Tival is an event and conference venue created through the renovation of one of the last buildings of the former textile factory on the former Tival site. The Espace Tival hosts performances, concerts, dance events, screenings, conferences and exhibitions. It also houses a large part of the international Momix festival for young audiences.

At its peak, the former Tival textile factory employed more than 800 people. In the 1920s, the workshops adjoining the former Tival château, built between 1860 and 1870, were used for fabric printing.
