Bartenheim: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Culture and History
The Chapelle Saint-Nicolas in Bartenheim has been documented since the 15th century. The present-day building dates largely from the second half of the 17th century and was restored three times in the 20th century, namely in 1926, 1956 and 1989.
The choir tower from the 13th century has been preserved from the Church of Saint-Georges; the vault on the ground floor of the choir tower dates from the 15th century. After the nave was destroyed by fire in 1934, the new neo-Gothic Church of Saint-Georges was completed in 1939.
The Chapelle Notre-Dame-des-Champs, also known as Schaecher, was built around 1800. The carved Calvary relief from this chapel, dated 1804, was transferred to the Chapelle Saint-Martin in Bartenheim-la-Chaussée.
