Culture and History

The fountain in Nothalten bears the year 1543; it is crowned by a badly damaged heraldic lion. Nothalten’s monumental fountain complex is located between houses 31 and 33 on the Route du Vin. The fountain in Nothalten, the “Fontaine datée de 1543” fountain complex, has been a protected monument since 29 April 1931.

The Château de Boehmstein was probably built in the 13th century. It has been in ruins since the 15th century; only a few remains have survived.

The fountain in Zell bears the year 1571.
