The present-day Saint-Louis Church in Duttlenheim dates from 1777 and is dedicated to Saint Louis, King of France. The church has four bells dating from 1922. In 1862, it was extended by 12 metres after once again becoming too small.

The organ is also one of Saint-Louis’s defining features: over time, it was extensively modified by Koulen, Kriess and the Steinmetz brothers and is attributed to Michel Stiehr (1817). Its oak case has four façade sections and three towers, crowned with urns in half-relief. One of the façades features a sundial dating from 1705, carved into a square stone slab. Behind the choir is a Lourdes grotto that attracts pilgrims for prayer and quiet contemplation.

The Calvary of Duttlenheim is another part of the village’s historic character. It was erected in 1718 on the initiative of two women, Anna and Maria, and has been included in the inventory of historic monuments. The chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary was built in 1808 by Lorentz Wunderlich on one of his properties on the main road as a sign of his gratitude. It is located on private property and is not accessible to visitors.

A fountain dating from the 18th century is distinguished by a solid parapet protected by a roof covered with curved clay tiles.

The Hansi Promenade in Duttlenheim is an educational walking trail associated with nature reserves and the protection of biotopes, particularly along waterways. In Duttlenheim, the Hansi Circuit runs from Rue Louise Weiss to Rue de la Gare and focuses on the protection of biotopes and natural areas.

Trails

The “Recherche des mots magiques” circular trail leads through the streets of Duttlenheim. It is a very easy, one-hour hike covering 1.1 kilometres and starts on Rue de l'École in Duttlenheim.
