The approximate length refers to the entire coastal route, not to a single stretch of beach.

There are several different landscapes around Svenstrup. A hike from Frølunde to Svenstrupgård follows paths through the preserved forest of the former royal estate. This hike offers views across hills and valleys towards the Great Belt. Deer and a diverse birdlife can be found in the grassy fields of Svenstrupgård. The various route descriptions thus offer several perspectives on the area around Svenstrup, without every outing having to be the same.

In the area around Svenstrup, a path runs through Rødhøjlund Skov from the junction with Drosselvej, across a small bridge and on to Rødhøjvej. Rødhøjlund Skov is also a nature campsite between Svenstrup and Korsør. In addition to the beach, woodland paths also shape the landscape around Svenstrup.

Traces of history in the open landscape

Prehistoric structures are among the special discoveries. The protected Rundhøj near Svenstrup is classified as a prehistoric round barrow. Langhøj near Svenstrup is a well-preserved long barrow in an open landscape. East of Korsør, in a field between the railway line and the motorway behind Svenstrup, you can also see a striking long dolmen and a round dolmen. Neither structure is accessible. They are therefore among the historical traces that can be viewed from the outside, without planning them as freely accessible destinations.
