Forest paths and an extraordinary history

In the forests of northern Langeland, three marked hiking trails lead through Vestre Stigtehave, Bræmlevænge and Mørkholm Skov. They are 3.5 km, 1.6 km and 2.7 km long, respectively. This gives you several routes of different lengths to choose from. Those looking for a shorter walk can take the distance into account, as can guests who want to include a longer forest route in their day.

A special attraction is the Djævlestenen. The stone is decorated with more than 100 so-called cup marks dating from the Late Bronze Age, around 1000–500 BC. The Djævlestenen weighs 3.5 tonnes and was split into two parts at an unspecified time. Hollænderhus also houses an exhibition about the forests of northern Langeland; the Bronze Age Djævlestenen is located there as well. This makes it possible to combine an excursion into nature with an insight into the landscape and the past.
