Olsker Round Church: height and architectural details
Its height is a distinctive feature of Olsker Round Church; it also has nine embrasures. This means the building offers more than just a striking sight: visitors interested in architecture can take in both its exceptional height and this specific detail in one place.
The church is normally open to visitors unless religious services are taking place. It is closed from 1 December to 1 March. Check for current information before your visit, as religious services may affect access.
A section of Højlyngsstien
On the section of Højlyngsstien from Olsker towards Rø Plantage, the first approximately four kilometres run along small paved roads, followed mainly by gravel tracks. The changing surface is therefore a useful point of reference for planning. Check current route information before setting out.

Smoking traditions are part of the local food culture. Bornholm’s first smokehouse opened in Gudhjem in 1866, and herring has been smoked there ever since. Hasle Smokehouse is the last smokehouse on Bornholm where fish is smoked in the traditional way, using open chimneys and alder wood. Gudhjem and Hasle therefore offer different specific insights into this tradition.
