Radonice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Radonice combines sacred architectural and art history with mountains, a ruin, monuments, and a seasonal railway connection. The range extends from the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary to destinations in the wider surrounding region.

Culture

The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in Radonice is a Baroque new build that preserves part of the former Romanesque-Gothic tower. Inside, there is a baptismal font created in 1579 by the sculptor Jörg Mayer. The church also contains six altars, created over a period of 70 years.

The Marian Column in Radonice is part of the town’s history: it was consecrated on 1 August 1847, and its statue of the Virgin Mary was created by the Prague sculptor Josef Max. The Marian Column was restored in 1994.

Landscape

The ridge of Svatá hora is a viewpoint overlooking the panorama of Radonice.

Kolina, a mountain, is located in the immediate vicinity of Radonice. Lipová, Tok, and Havrań are located in the vicinity of Radonice; all three are mountains. Zřícenina Lina is a ruin in the vicinity of Radonice; Svatý Prokop is a monument there.

In the wider surrounding region of Radonice are Schlackenwerth Monastery, a monastery, and Bärenstein, Church of the Redeemer, a church.

Cycling Route and Railway

The Podbořany–Kadaň–Podbořany cycling route runs through Radonice. It is 60.3 km long, moderately difficult, and suitable for road bikes and trekking bikes.

The Doupovská Railway has operated during the tourist season since 2016, taking visitors to cultural events.
