Huntířov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Huntířov lies on the border of the two protected landscape areas of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains and České středohoří. At the same time, the village is a starting point for excursions into the surroundings of the Kamenice River.

Nature and Landscape

The Stará Oleška nature reserve is one of the most important wetlands in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains Protected Landscape Area. It provides an important refuge for numerous rare and endangered plant and animal species.

The Olešský Pond in Stará Oleška is considered suitable for swimming.

Getting Around

Huntířov can be reached on foot, by bicycle and by car, and has barrier-free access.

Culture and History

The former parish Church of St. George in Huntířov was built in the Middle Ages. A new Church of St. George was built in Huntířov in 1883–1884, replacing the earlier Gothic church, which had burned down.

In Nová Oleška, there is a 19th-century Church of the Holy Trinity. The Baroque parish house in Huntířov, dating from the 18th century, has a sundial.

South of Huntířov, a Dutch-type windmill stands on Františkov vrch; it was probably built around 1850. The building was constructed from rubble stone and converted into a residential property in 2001.

Several memorial crosses can be found in the surroundings of Huntířov. Huntířov is also home to a rural property with house number 13.
