The pilgrimage church of Saint John the Baptist stands on a hill southeast of Radomyšl. The present-day Church of Saint John the Baptist was built between 1733 and 1736.

Culture and History

A Jewish cemetery lies in a small wooded area along the path from the château to the pilgrimage church of Saint John the Baptist in Radomyšl. The Jewish cemetery contains 36 gravestones dating from the first half of the 19th century.

The medieval granary in the vicarage now houses the Radomyšl History Museum. The museum on the history of Radomyšl presents the history of the town from prehistoric times to 1918 and displays a replica of the most significant archaeological find, the so-called vampire grave, which is associated with Radka.

In the wider region around Radomyšl are Hrad Zvíkov Castle, the historic site “Lety u Písku. Memorial to the Holocaust of Roma and Sinti in Bohemia” and Svatý Jan Church.

Getting Around

The cycling tour “Za památkami Radomyšle” leads to Radomyšl via cycle route no. 1062. Koupaliště Radomyšl also has a children’s playground, as well as a tennis court and a volleyball court.
