Predni Zvonkova: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Přední Zvonková is situated in a landscape with a turbulent settlement and border history. The settlement area of Zvonková associated with Přední Zvonková was founded in the second half of the 17th century during the settlement of a then inaccessible, forested mountain region on the historic state border. The Zvonková area was subject to a state border protection regime until the end of 1989.

History

Přední Zvonková was incorporated into Horní Planá as a settlement, while Zadní Zvonková, Huťský Dvůr and Josefův Důl disappeared, with only a few exceptions. Zadní Zvonková lies 1.8 km southwest of Přední Zvonková on the Schwarzenberský Canal and has a pseudo-Gothic church rebuilt after a fire between 1878 and 1880.

Culture

The Schiffler Kapelle church is located in the vicinity of Přední Zvonková. In the wider regional area are the Radlbrunnkapelle church, the Chlumany archaeological site and the Haslach parish church.

Routes

The “Za Schwarzenberskou historií” route leads from Nová Pec via the Schwarzenberský Canal, Zadní Zvonková and Přední Zvonková to the ferry in Horní Planá and then back to Nová Pec. The Rakouská cycling route connects Přední Zvonková with the ferry in Bližší Lhota and with Horní Planá. It leads through the Šumava landscape on the Czech and Austrian sides. The route on the right bank of the Lipno Reservoir mentions Přední Zvonková as a place with refreshment options.
