Žlábek: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Žlábek is one of seven stops on the cultural and historical tour “Toulky Hornoplánskem”. The village is therefore located along a route that connects historical and cultural destinations.

Culture and History

Chlumany, an archaeological site, is located in the wider regional surroundings of Žlábek. The parish church in Haslach and the Schiffler Chapel are also located in this wider regional area.

Exploring on Foot

The “Hůrecký okruh” Nordic walking loop leads from Horní Planá via the A. Stiftra educational trail towards Žlábek, where it turns towards Hůrka. The loop is classified as moderately difficult.

The first stage, “Malé Lipno”, leads from Horní Planá via Jelm and Žlábek to Květušín and is approximately 12 km long.

Cycling Routes and Mountain Biking

The Olšinská route follows cycle path no. 1255 from Olšina via Žlábek to Hůrka. Žlábek is also one of the designated intermediate stops on the “Kolem lipenského jezera” mountain bike route. This mountain bike route runs predominantly along country and forest roads; approximately one third of the route is paved.

The “Horní Planá – Jezerní vyhlídka and Dobrá Voda” cycle loop leads from Jelm to Žlábek via a forest road. It is also suitable for athletic children and runs predominantly along paved or surfaced paths.

Landscape

Several mountains are located in the surroundings of Žlábek: Špićák, Břevniště, Bärenstein and Smrčina [Horní Planá].
