Villagescape and Culture
In the middle of a large, circular village square stands the Chapel of the Virgin Mary and Saint Adalbert. The square is lined with original, predominantly agricultural farmsteads and is designated as a cultural asset. The Chapel of Saint Adalbert in Mečichov is registered as an immovable cultural monument.
Near Mečichov, along the road to Horažďovice, there is a niche chapel less than one kilometre from the village. It was built in 1911 and restored in 2005.
Nature and Landscape
The Bílý Kámen ecological biocentre covers an area of 46.4 hectares in the cadastral area of Mečichov. It includes ponds as well as the surrounding wet and dry meadows. The Nad Mečichovem ecological biocentre comprises a rocky, boulder-rich hilltop area with a predominantly wooded remnant of woodland.
Connections and Cycling Routes
There are bus connections from Mečichov to Strakonice, Blatná and Horažďovice. Cycle Route 1064 runs from Kadov via Čečelovice to Mečichov. Cycle Route 312 continues from Mečichov to Bratronice, Jindřichovice and Blatná.
