Hrutkov is characterised by a historic townscape that combines Neoclassical buildings with a distinctive village layout. The village heritage conservation zone encompasses the entire built-up area of the municipality, with the exception of the modern agricultural production area. Neoclassical buildings predominate in the historic village ensemble, most of them dating from the 1820s to the 1840s.

Culture

One of Hrutkov’s defining buildings is the Neo-Gothic Chapel of Saint Joseph, which became a prominent building in the village during the 19th century. The cemetery chapel has a pentagonal central structure on the outside and a decagonal one inside. Its protected complex includes the chapel, a mortuary, a cross, a boundary wall with a gate, a retaining wall and the enclosed plot.

Townscape

The historic village layout of Hrutkov was established according to an open-field strip plan around an irregularly oval village green approximately 250 metres long. This basic form provides the spatial framework for the historic village ensemble.
