Culture and History

The Church of St Bartholomew stands in the east of Volduchy on the road to Nesvačily and Liteň. Next to its presbytery is the “Piety” ensemble, which bears an inscription with the year 1729.

St Bartholomew’s has Gothic origins dating from the late 14th century. After the fire of 1817, it acquired its late Baroque appearance during restoration in 1822. St Bartholomew’s and the “Piety” ensemble are designated cultural monuments of the Czech Republic.

Events and Culture

Volduchy hosts the traditional Hřebenářská pilgrimage. Kultura Volduchy organizes concerts and theatre performances in an intimate setting.

A fixed-date event is the Voldušská pilgrimage: it takes place from 9:00 a.m. on 29 August 2026 until 11:59 p.m. on 30 August 2026 in the centre of Volduchy.

Nature and Geology

Kašparův vrch lies southwest of Volduchy. It was first placed under protection on 5 September 1989.

The Vosek area is known for the frequent occurrence of siliceous spherical concretions, known as “rokycanské kuličky”, as well as numerous well-preserved fossils, including trilobites, molluscs, echinoderms and brachiopods.

Of the named railway stations, Svojkovice on line 170 is the closest to the Church of St Bartholomew; the station is approximately 3 km away.
