Culture
The Muzeum Středních Brd Strašice presents a local history exhibition about Strašice and its surroundings from the second half of the 18th century to the 1950s. Topics include ironworking, local studies and social life. During the summer season, from 1 April to 30 September, the museum is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 17:00; it is closed on Mondays. During the winter season, from 1 October to 31 March, it is open on Wednesdays from 13:00 to 17:00 and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 17:00.
The complex of Kostel sv. Vavřince comprises the church, an enclosing wall with a gate and a memorial cross. The single-nave masonry church preserves medieval architectural elements and details, as well as a wall painting dating from around 1400. Its present appearance was created by a Baroque renovation. The Muzeum dopravy in Strašice, with its exhibition of historic means of transport, offers another insight into the region's past.
Nature
The Dům přírody Brd is located near Tři Trubky in the Brdy Protected Landscape Area; Tři Trubky lies in the cadastral territory of the municipality of Strašice. An interactive exhibition presents the Brdy Protected Landscape Area as an island of mountainous nature in the heart of Bohemia. The Dům přírody Brd also offers guided walks and excursions for the general public, groups and school programmes.
A two-kilometre hiking trail leads from the car park in Strašice along the Klabava River to the Tři Trubky hunting lodge. Hiking and cycling tours through the surrounding Brdy forests can begin in Strašice. The Brdská vločka is an unofficial symbol of the entire Brdy carved into the rock.
