Nevid: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Nevid is situated in a picturesque landscape surrounded by forests. At the same time, the village has a long history: Nevid was first mentioned in 1227.

History and Village Life

From 1587 to 1848, Nevid belonged to the Šťáhlavy estate. The name Nevid probably derives from the name of one of the first settlers. There were eleven homesteads in Nevid; a manor inn was also operated there.

Around 1,300 metres south of Nevid lies the important ZSO Mydlná archaeological site. It comprises a late medieval fortress, an abandoned complex and a settlement.

Various cultural events take place in a local inn in Nevid, in a hall with 130 seats.

Nature and Trails

A yellow-marked hiking trail of the Club of Czech Tourists runs through Holubí Kout in the northeast of Nevid. Cycle Route T1 leads from the Nevid settlement southeast towards Kamínky.

Nevid is connected to the district capital by bus services.

Kamýk Fortress stood near Nevid and had certainly been abandoned by the end of the 16th century at the latest. Mount Nad Moráskem is located in the surroundings of Nevid.

In the wider regional surroundings of Nevid lie Mount Radyně, Mount Praha and Mount Hlava. This wider regional area also includes the Zřícenina Valdek ruin, as well as the churches of Svatý Martin, the Cathedral of Saint Bartholomew in Pilsen and U Svatého Petra.
