Domoraz: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Chapel of St. Anne is a sacred vernacular structure from the first half of the 19th century and is prominently situated on Domoraz village square.

Culture

The Boží muka wayside shrine is listed in a regional register of protected cultural heritage. Its entrance faces southwest. A low enclosure wall surrounds the chapel and encloses a small square with four mature trees; in front of the building stands a cast-iron cross on a granite pedestal.

The Boží muka wayside shrine stands west of the village beside a field path. The small, high-quality Neo-Gothic structure dates from the second half of the 19th century and is unique in the district. It is divided into three unequally sized parts arranged one above the other, has quatrefoil-shaped niches in the lower section and bears a metal cross at the top. Two wooden sculptures are located in the middle section. At the base are interesting stone sculptures whose forms resemble, among other things, the head of a turtle, a snake, a sultan or an armed man.

Architectural Heritage

The Hospodářský dvůr in Domoraz is a farm complex of late Renaissance origin in which valuable Renaissance building structures have been preserved. The Hospodářský dvůr in Domoraz, house no. 1, consists of a residential building, a farm building and a barn arranged around a U-shaped courtyard. The residential building of the Hospodářský dvůr farm complex in Domoraz preserves a Renaissance roof truss and Renaissance gables; vaults have also been preserved in the residential building and the stable buildings.
